Imelda Marcos

"I have no weakness for shoes. I wear simple shoes.... It is not one of my weaknesses."
Filipino politician and wife of 10th Philippine President, Ferdinand Marcos.
She is remembered for her collection of 2700 pairs of shoes.

Now, before you judge me, you need to know that it was my birthday, and my husband completely surprised me. He picked all of these shoes out by himself and hid them in various places around the house. I'm the victim here. I'm totally innocent. And I have no weakness for shoes. None whatsoever. (btw, what kind of awesome husband actually understands the concept that a girl needs different pairs of the same cute shoes in more than one color?)

Yes, I was happy.

And, in other news, his eldest son also has excellent taste.
Check out my new flying unicorn earrings.

p.s. thank you to everyone who made my birthday so super special this year. I almost forgot that I'm one year older now.

Wow! Your husband is a very understanding man. Especially if all those shoes fit you perfectly. Did he have you try them on just like Prince Charming and Cinderella? Sounds SO romantic!

I also LOVE those earrings and the beautiful girl wearing them! The boys in your life have very good taste. In everything.

Oh my gosh I'm so jealous of your new shoes! I actually have that black pair of satin/ruched pumps with the patent leather trim from Charlotte Russe too :) I LOVE them! I actually just wore them to church yesterday haha. Congratulations!! (And those earrings are adorable too)

First, to answer your question about your husband and the need for shoes in multiple colors of the same style.

1) He was raised with 4 sisters. One of which is a shoe connoisseur.

2) Look at his own need for shoes in multiple colors. HA! ;)

Love the shoes. Love the earrings. Love you pretty woman.

:D

Those earrings are AWESOME. Way to go Joshy (not that I'm really surprised).

Awesome shoes too, props to the Pops. BTW, did you humbly point out that so many shoes may need new skirts to complement them? No, you wouldn't want to seem greedy. But all the same... :)

Happy B AK. Love ya!

Very cute shoes! I'm so jealous! I'm happy for you. I never would have expected Josh to buy so many shoes at once. He would always tease me growing up about my many shoes. They are my weakness! Love ya Adele! I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday!

It's a good thing he got you all those shoes now because according to the economist, John Williams, the economy is going to experience hyper inflation in the next six to nine months. Those shoes will be worth some serious scratch, if you know what I mean. He obviously was thinking ahead. Good job Joshua and Joshua! Love ya. Dad.

Man, Josh! You're making the rest of us look like a joke! Dangit! First the 25 cents all over the house for her 25th bday, and now this? How am I supposed to top this? GOSH!

(Happy birthday, Adele)

What husband, you ask? One in a MILLION! I've never heard of a husband who knows his wife's taste so well! What a great guy! Can he teach Boston? ;)

Cute new shoes! And the unicorn earrings are priceless!

Glad you had a good birthday!

Yay! I love shoes! And that is so neat that you got the same pair in different colors. I do that all the time when I go shoe shopping. Hey if you like a shoe enough and it needs to match numerous outfits...why NOT?!! :D

That is so awesome! I'd die if my husband pick out something so cute and usable for me without my help that is ;) Sweet earrings too! So fun! Happy birthday and thanks for having lunch with me on mine!
